In the 5th semester of the Bachelor’s degree programme, students choose a Psychotherapy School which is then taught as part of the method.
There are cooperation agreements with psychotherapeutic training associations that offer their curricula as part of the degree programme. Together with the Master’s degree (at SFU Vienna), the final certificate of the training association is acquired and thus the possibility to be entered in the list of psychotherapists for independent psychotherapy practice in Austria.
The Psychotherapeutic Specialisation (according to § 6-8 of the Austrian Psychotherapy Act) represents the 2nd part of psychotherapy training and comprises at least 300 hours of theory and 1600 hours of practical training.
