The Department is responsible for teaching and research in the Psychotherapy Science degree programme at the Linz location. This is carried out in close exchange with the Faculty of Psychotherapy Science in Vienna; the degree programme in Linz is accredited individually by the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria (AQ Austria). This makes it possible to study psychotherapy science within easy reach of western Austria and southern Germany, while at the same time benefiting from synergies with the other German-speaking places of implementation, namely Vienna and Berlin.
The department also runs the psychotherapeutic university outpatient clinic, which on the one hand represents an important psychosocial care facility for Linz and the surrounding area, and on the other hand is available to students as a training facility from the first semester onwards.
